As most of you know, Bill will be undergoing a bone marrow transplant. His leukemia that we have held at bay has reoccured and is forcing him to do this. He is very positive about the outcome. The tests prior to the transplant have all gone well and as of last week, there are no CML cells showing in his bone marrow. YEA!, Just what the doctors wanted to happen. He will enter the hospital(Presbyterian-OU Medical Center ) on June 25. He will undergo 3 days of intense chemotherapy, one day of rest and a treatment of radiation, then the BIG DAY, July 1-Transplant Day. He will have to remain in the hospital for approximately 3-5 weeks in the Bone Marrow Transplant Unit which is located on the 7th floor of the hospital. We will let everyone know his room number when he gets settled in. We know if anyone can beat this, Bill can! Please keep him and his family in your prayers. We will start updates after his admission to the hospital.
