Day+34

Your prayers and ours are being answered. At Bill's check-up today with Dr. Selby, they told us that the graft studies on the donor's cells making Bill's blood is at almost 100%. That means that the donor's cells have taken over his blood supply. He still has a long way to go for recovery, but this was the best news we could hear. His blood counts are still fluctuating at this point, but it will take a long time for them to get stable. He also had to have another bag of fluid for dehydration. He is getting stronger though. The Dr. told him he can start getting out some, but with caution. He also doesn't have to return for an office visit for 2 weeks on Aug. 17. YEA!! He is actually having to get a haircut Friday. Never did loose his hair from the treatments. WOW! Now we just have to try and hold him down and let his body recover. He got to go by and see his youngest grandson, Lawson,  take his first steps today. He will be one Aug 26. We also have another Aug. grandson, Will, will be 7 on the 13th, and looks like Papa will make it to their parties. We are so blessed.

So glad to hear the good doc report! I know that you are in good hands. Jerry and I are also seeing first steps with a grandson and it is very entertaining! Aren't little grandkids great medicine!!! Too bad we aren't in the same town. You and Jilian could hang out! She is also bored and not too excited about her bedrest. Keep up the good fight Bill and kiss Darla! Love you both,
Comptarosa

Junior and Sis,

I love the good news! Hopefully, we can all get together soon. Once Jillian and David's Baby 'Zander is born, we can all get together and share hospital stories! Love you guys. Keep up the good work, and you will continue in our prayer.
Love, Jerry & Lisa
