Day+20

WE'RE GOING HOME!!!!!! Dr. Selby just left and gave the words we've waiting for. He will be dismissed when the staff can get everything in order. He will have to have home health administer an IV medication until Aug 7., so that has to be arranged and also all his prescriptions filled. When that is done and all the paper work finished, we're out of here. It will either be later today or tomorrow. Our prayers have been answered. Bill's pain from the gout episode has subsided. He is still shakey, but they say that will take a few weeks to regain his strength and steadiness from the long hospital stay. The nursing staff has been so wonderful and have already started telling him how much they will miss him. Can't believe we already have almost a month of this under our belt. The first 100 days are the most critical, so we have some time to go, but he is well on his way. Please continue keeping him in your prayers through this time. See you soon!
