Day+7

One week down since the transplant. Bill is feeling better from the nausea symtoms, but has developed a severe pain in his left shoulder-can't lift it at all because of the pain. They did an MRI this morning to make sure there was no infection that had settled there. Thank goodness there that was negative. Now they will try to find out how to relieve the pain. Other than that, he feels OK. He's still weak and tired  because of his low blood counts. He received 2 units of blood this am. The Drs. said this is normal. We're just in a holding pattern now, waiting, watching and praying. He so appreciates everyones calls and kind cards and emails. Keep them coming, that's what keeps his spirits up. We have got to see four patients go home this week who have had transplants, so that's what we're looking forward to.

Bill

Glad you are feeling better today. I have been praying for you and your family since the day I found out you were getting the transplant but just got the blog address from Patty! I have an insured that is going throught the same thing, he is now almost 2 months from his start date and he is really doing great! I pray knowing you will do great also.

Bill and Family, Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you. Get well soon, OU football is just around the corner and they can't start without a great tailgate party with you there to cheer them on.

God Bless you all,
Becky and Regie Flaming
